Calligraphy Masterclasses to Be Held at the Museum Center

 

To preserve Azerbaijan’s rich heritage of calligraphy and inspire interest in this ancient art form among the younger generation, masterclass led by renowned calligrapher Tahir Alakbarov will be held at the Museum Center in Baku.

 

During the event, participants will have the opportunity to explore both the theoretical foundations and practical techniques of classical calligraphy.

 

The masterclasses will be organized according to two age groups:

 

The training program includes:

•The history of calligraphy

•An overview of different scripts (such as Nastaʿlīq, Thuluth, and others)

•Instruction on tools and materials

•Hands-on writing exercises guided by the master calligrapher
